Regional Planning Guidelines for the Greater Dublin Area- Review Stages

During the period 2008 to 2010 the Regional Planning Guidelines for the GDA underwent a review. The Review process involved a number of stages:

Pre Draft Public Consultation including publication of issue papers for 8 weeks where submissions were invited from the public and interested bodies. (Consultation ran from the 2nd of February to the 30th of March 2009).
Directors Report on Submissions Received during the public consultation process and the presentation of this, plus the key issues from national policies to the Elected Representatives on Dublin and Mid-East Regional Authorities.
Preparation and publication of new Draft Guidelines which, following a Joint Regional Authority meeting in December 2009, were placed on public display for 10 weeks seeking public comment from the 11th of January 2010 to the 26th of March 2010 (inclusive).
Directors Report on submissions and recommended changes; which was presented to the Elected Representatives.
Consideration of Motions and proposed changes to Draft
Adoption of the new Regional Planning Guidelines for the Greater Dublin Area.
