Retail Strategy for the Greater Dublin Area 2008-2016

The new Retail Strategy for the Greater Dublin Area was finalised on the 17th of July 2008 by the Joint Regional Authorities of Dublin and Mid-East, and prepared in cooperation with the seven local authorities of the GDA- Dublin City Council, Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, South Dublin County Council, Meath County Council, Kildare County Council and Wicklow County Council and the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government.

Copies of the document and the appendices can be purchased from the RPG office or downloaded for free below, either as an entire document or in parts.

Review of The Retail Strategy - Project History:

The Draft revised Retail Strategywas on public display from Wednesday the 7th of May 2008 for 6 weeks until Wednesday the 18th of June 2008 (inclusive).

The Pre-Draft Public Consultation for the Review of the Strategy was held for 4 weeks from the 15th of October to the 9th of November 2007. Two open meetings were held in Dublin (City Centre) and one in the Mid-East area (Naas) during the first public consultation phase of the project to give information on the review, to encourage submissions and to identify key issues.
